Maria Rodriguez, OTS

Occupational Therapy

Hiii! My name is Maria! I am a third year occupational therapy student currently pursuing my doctorate at University of Southern California. I have my bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in kinesiology, biology, and psychology from San Diego State University. During my Level I fieldwork in a pediatric outpatient clinic, I developed a strong passion for working with children and their families. I love the unique role OT has in this setting. Such as using meaningful play, fostering family involvement, and tailoring interventions to meet each child where they are. My goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where children and their families can thrive, grow, and feel empowered.

In my free time, I love exploring local coffee shops (I loveeeeee lattes!!), going on walks with my dog, Apollo (he’s an energetic and silly boxer!), and relaxing through coloring.
